Dearest Diary,

Okay, this is basically what went down today.  I went into the GS office to meet w/ Heather ‘bout camp.  I figured its just an interview.  WRONG!  She calls me in there to tell me that she isn’t gonna hire me back this summer!  Cause I had frustration issues, oh, & because she thought maybe it was too much for me.  Whatever!  Oh well, now I’ll go work @ home hang w/ friends.  YIPEE!

Interesting, I still write my &s this way.  GS is the Girl Scout office, btw.  I worked at the summer camp the year before & applied to work there again the next year.  It actually worked out b that I got to come home that summer because I made more money working for GMG.

6/3/00:

Diary-
Well it’s only taken me 19 years, but I have finally gone on a successful date & I HAVE A MAN!  Chris is so wonderful.  We went ice skating, but he can’t skate & my ankles were hurting, so we left but it was okay.  We had a successful failure of a day.  Like almost everything we did failed, but I had such a wonderful time.  And he’s so cute & likes me a lot.  We eve made out :).  So here we go on my first date that nothing was unsatisfied, & my first kiss & first guy unhook my bra :).  I so didn’t want him to go, but because he doesn’t drive so he had to get on BART at a reasonable time so his dad wasn’t waiting at the BART station in the cold.  Anywho, running out of room.  Gotta go.  Chris is so great!! <3 Trisha

Hmm…I think that’s the last time I actually went ice skating.  This is another one of those days I remember without the diary entry.  I’m not so sure that was the first time someone unhooked my bra…I think Eric might have in high school, but obviously just as a goof.  The entry gets more exciting, and something that I don’t really want to share, but it involves Chris and one of my first even remotely sexual experiences.  That’s all you need to know :).  It was an eventful summer… as told by the next entry.

Diary-
Tiffany & Nathaniel got married today & I MISSED IT!  Tiff’s directions were kinda vague, so I never got there until they were outside taking pictures after it was over.  It’s still hard to believe that I could have missed it.  Mrs. Tiffany Harrington.  Weird!  The reception was nice.  What am I talking about, it was gorgeous!  And so was she!  So beautiful!  ARG!  But I have pictures only when my camera decided not to hate me.  Only one roll cause my camera sucks & I need a new one.  Well it’s 3:25 am & my bf Chris is coming over tomorrow, so I should go.  Bye! Yes, Tiffany’s instructions said “right at…” and we took that to mean “turn right at”, when she meant “it’s right at” like on the corner.  Lorenza & I had Al drive us all over Fremont & Union City trying to find the wedding.  We finally circled back & saw them outside.  I still say it’s not entirely my fault; Tiffany had to give us verbal directions because she lost a box of the invitations.  Who does that?! Well, 10 years later and Tiffany & Nathaniel aren’t together anymore.  Not for a few years, though I can’t remember what year it was that they got divorced.
