Today’s Urban Adventure
After the A’s game that Katie, Lorenza & I went to today, we went to CVS in search of some mascara I wanted to get. On the way back to my house, we saw this on the bridge.
Then we realized there were stairs leading down to the creek. So we went back to my house, grabbed my camera, & came back to explore. We found stairs:
We also found that the creek is dry during the summer.
And then found this HUGE mural painted on the underside of the bridge, apparently by art students from San Leandro High School in 1998.
And this on the other side of the bridge.
It says “We have not inherited the earth from our mothers and fathers. We are borrowing it from our children and grandchildren.”All in all, some successful urban exploration in downtown San Leandro. Photos will be on Flickr once I turn my desktop on tomorrow & upload them.
